This week we start our weekly writing homework. The schedule for writing homework this year will be:
Monday Night - Brainstorm and Plan
Tuesday Night - Write a Rough Draft
Wednesday Night - Revise (add info, enhance word choice) and Edit (spelling, punctuation)
Thursday Night - Write the Final Draft
Writing will be shared in class each Friday. During short weeks, we will have alternative homework assigned.
This week's prompt is:
Think of an invention that you think would make a major improvement in the world. Explain your invention and what positive effects it would have on the world. Remember, fifth grade writing is longer than a page, but shorter than three pages. Happy writing!
