Write a
letter to a new fifth grader. How is
being in fifth grade different than fourth grade? What will the new fifth grader need to know
about our classroom, fifth grade subjects, and having me as a teacher? What tips can you give them? What do they have to look forward to? I will be giving your letter final draft to
one of my new fifth graders on the first day of school next year. Please write a fabulous letter welcoming them
to fifth grade. Remember, fifth grade letters are longer than
a page, but shorter than three pages.
