Weekly Writing Homework for Feb 6-10

We finally have a full week again!  Here is the writing prompt for this week's homework:

Many schools across the country participate in a year-round schedule.  This is where students attend school throughout the year with a one-month break after three months of school.  What do you think about this schedule?  Do you think that students learn more with a year-round schedule or do you think the traditional schedule of having a summer break, but fewer breaks during the school year works best?  Write a paper explaining your opinion about school year schedules.  Remember, fifth grade writing is longer than a page, but shorter than three pages.  Happy writing!
